Sofie Sunday ~ Christmas Card: Santa’s Hat

For today’s Christmas post, we’ll be doing cards!

Christmas cards are great gifts and will be a lovely keepsake that will last for years. But it’s not always easy to make them. :l. (face stares at wall)

For starters, you’ll need to research a design. You’ll also want it to look pretty, of course. Also, you will probably want an easy and simple but special card.

Well, you don’t have to worry! This month, I will have some card segments that are easy and special! 😀 (relieved face)

This card I’ll be showing you is pretty easy, and little kids will do a great job making these too.

What you’ll need:

A sheet of red paper

Cotton Balls

Colored Paper of your choice (This will be the card)

Markers, Coloring Materials

Step 1: Firstly, fold your card in half. Then, write your message (Seasons Greetings, Merry Xmas, Jingle Bells, etc.) and if you want – draw Christmas themed things like snowflakes, snowmen, baubles, etc.

Step 2: On the red paper, cut out a medium sized triangle. This is the base for the Santa hat.

Step 3: Glue the red triangle on the front of the card.

Step 4: Now, place the cotton balls on the hat! Depending on the size of your triangle, you will need 4-5 balls.

Step 5: Done!

See? Very easy! You can also use this idea to make a Christmas tree card, only swapping the red paper for green paper and the cotton balls for washi tape, colored paper cut outs, markers, to make ornaments! Thanks for reading!
