Same Day, 5 pm
Ok, so where was I?
Oh, right. Kirsty was holding a striped sock and was crying. I looked up from my diary. “Kirsty! What’s wrong?!”
“Wahhhh!!! My favorite sock is missing!” Kirsty cried. “Okay, okay, okay. Maybe it’s in the wash. But why don’t you wear something else? And also, why do you need socks?” Then Kirsty told me that Dad was going outside in our mini backyard to pack some things. Kirsty wanted to help him, so she looked for her socks so she could wear boots (it’s been raining for a while) — but she couldn’t find it. She had already checked the laundry too. So Kirsty wanted to check every room for it. “Why don’t you try your room?” I suggested, jumping off my bed. “I’ll try looking here.” “Okayyyyyy…” She mumbled, wiping her eyes. And she left. I looked around for a while, but still couldn’t find her sock. Maybe it’s in her room, I thought, and plopped back onto my bed. Just then the door slammed open. BAM! Kirsty was there! And was crying even more! “Kirsty! Are you alright? Did you find the sock (although I knew she obviously did not)?!”
“No! I asked Evan and Mommy and Daddy…but still no sock!” She cried, and landed on my bed. I sighed. “Well, maybe it’s lost in one of the boxes or just in the junk under your bed!” “I don’t have junk under my bed!” She exclaimed, sticking her tongue at me. “Um, yes, you do!” I said, sticking my tongue at her too. “If I remember clearly, you have lots of papers, broken toys, and socks there. Maybe that sock of yours is there, too! And I’m sure you haven’t cleaned under your bed, right? Look under my bed, I’ve cleaned that spot already!” I pointed under my bed. “Fine! I haven’t cleaned under my bed, but I wanna help Daddy!” Kirsty whined.
So I went to her room to help her find that sock. I kept telling Kirsty that she could just wear something else but she just said that she would only wear her fave socks, not anything else.
Finally, I decided to call Mom for help. “But I’ve just asked her.” Kirsty huffed. “NO. I’m going to ask her for help.” I said, then yelled for Mom. “What is it?” She asked. Then I explained to her what was going on.
“Mom, Kirsty won’t listen to me! She just won’t wear anything else!” I groaned.
“But Mommy!” Kirsty whined.”I just wanna wear my socks, not the others!” Mom eyed both of us. Then she looked at Kirsty’s sock. Then her eyes turned big.
“Oh, I see what you two mean!” Then she rushed down the stairs. Kirsty and I looked at each other. What was she doing?!
“Here it is! It was on the couch.” She exclaimed, holding that little sock in front of us. Kirsty was really happy and went down to help Dad. I stood there for a while. Argh! All of this drama because of a little, fuzzy, and soft sock.
OK, I’ve finally got it! A mug and a card as our gift (courtesy of Evan!)! Apparently, Evan saw these Father’s Day mugs on sale. He saw one that said, ‘World’s Best Dad’ and wondered if Dad would like it. I told him he would love it and I gave him money though now I’m broke :(. Anyway, I have some update on the big move. We’re going to move on Monday, after we finish the entire downstairs. A truck is scheduled to come here too. We even have a rented van! Wait a minute…Someone is knocking on the door! Hold on…Oh, it’s just Kirsty! And she’s…crying?! And…holding a….sock? Argh! I’ll continue this entry later…:(

Okay, Okay. I know that it has been two days since I’ve written. But that’s because I’ve been packing like crazy. I was supposed to write yesterday, but I couldn’t find my diary. Turns out it fell behind my desk after I finished writing in it. 🙁
Thankfully, I found it. Oh, did you know as I’m writing this, I’m on my bed with TONS of boxes around me?!
OMG! It almost feels like Christmas! But instead of a Christmas tree and those prettily wrapped boxes under it, there’s brown one surrounded like drift wood and I’m a palm tree on a beach! Anyway, I STILL have to think of a father’s day gift for Dad. I’m worried we won’t have one this year! Last year, Mom let me and my siblings go buy a gift for Dad. She gave us P100 for the perfect gift. I found a cool hat– like the kind a cowboy would wear. It was only P30. But then Kirsty got hungry and we had to feed her a P30 meal. Now we had P70 left! We got the cowboy hat and a really awesome looking T-shirt for Dad, which costed only P20. We had some left over cash, and decided to use it for some candies. We also made a card for Dad!
Hmmmm… I guess I’ll make a card then! 🙂
Hello, everyone! Today, it’s going to be a different segment. This time, I’m doing a story. No, it’s not Margie Mouse. Instead, I’ll be doing a story with pictures that I took. It’s called, Scruffy Oliver and the Ponies. Enjoy!

Note: Do not forget that Father’s Day is in a week!
It’s official! We’re moving all right! Unfortunately, that means a lot of packing. 🙁
Mom gave me a list and five cardboard boxes and sent me upstairs.
Here’s what it says:
Margie TO DO:
Pack the things in your room.
Clean and dust a bit.
Help your sister fix (Evan will be there).
Help carry boxes.
Clean my room? Really? Fine. I guess I’ll start now. More later!
Author’s Note: For my Margie Mouse series, I’m going to make my drawings with MS Paint in my laptop! Enjoy!

Okay, so there is good news and bad news.
The Good News?
Mom and Dad are thinking of getting the job I mentioned yesterday. It turns out that my Uncle Roberts and Aunt Lina works at that bakery! They said I could help out too! 🙂
The Bad News?
Well, the bakery is at another city called Cheddar City! If Mom and Dad get that job, then that would mean we have to move out!
Hmmm… now that I think about it, maybe it is good that we’ll move out. I can finally find some friends! Anyway, I’m going to tell Mom and Dad that I’m okay with moving. Hey, you never know!
Same Day, 11:10 pm
After such a long day, I honestly felt like melting into a big, wet, and slimy puddle!
But I just had the strangest thought. I think my parents are going to get a job! Yup! Well, here’s the story.
About two weeks ago, both of my parents got fired from this fancy and VERY expensive restaurant. Dad was a chef and Mom was a cashier lady. Since Mom had a shifting schedule, she could come back home during 12:00 pm while me and my siblings were leaving school. Dad instead worked until 8:00 pm so he usually came home late. Everything was fine until this very famous millionaire boss found a very good chef. That chef was going to take DAD’S place and cook all those fancy foods. When Dad was fired, Mom was absolutely furious and said that she would stop working for him if Dad was thrown out. And the boss said she could if she wanted to. And guess what? Mom fired herself and cried in the bedroom. Now, sometimes if they heard anything like ‘cooking’ or ‘jobs’, they would sob out.
Poor Mom and Dad! 🙁
Evan says that we probably went to PitPats to spend more time together. So why do I think they might get a job? Wellllllll…..
After a long afternoon, we decided to have our dinner at this diner called Tom’s Cheeseria. Mom and Dad ordered Chicken Cheese, Evan had Tuna and Cheese, and I and my little sister Kirsty had this very yummy Mac and Cheese. It was really delish!
Just as we were digging in, Dad’s cell phone rang. Bading! Bading! Bading! The waiter suddenly gave us a super icy glare.”Excuse me, Sir. But I think you should make your call outside!” He exclaimed. Dad smiled nervously and scampered outside. After what seemed like 15 minutes, Dad came back and whispered something to Mom. Mom gasped and took his phone and went outside too. “What was that Daddy?” Kirsty asked. “A job offer,” He said, taking a big spoonful of rice. “Is it like someone gives you a job?” Dad nodded. “There’s a place in a bakery that needs a baker and saleslady, so we might get that.” Evan grinned. “Dad, that’s perfect for you and mom!” “We’ll see,” Dad replied.
So now I’m staring at the wall, wondering if we’ll finally get a job. Sigh. Well, I better catch some ZZZs! Good night!
June 8, 2018
Ahhhhh! I’m so embarrased! This morning, my mom said that we would be going to the PitPats show! The PitPats show has been around my mom’s time, and it has some funky music! It is actually a musical show, but OMG, last year when I went there; it was still horrid since 1980!
Last year, Outside
Last year, Inside
My mom had even bought herself a PitPats T-shirt, hat, and bag! Yup! When she asked me and my older brother Evan if we wanted any merchandise, we were like, “No, thank you!” I thought I was going to die of all the off-key blip n’ bloop n’ blap! Arrggh! Oh, my mom is calling! See you later! ;(
I mentioned before that I wanted to be an author when I grow up. Well, actually, I already am! I like to write books when I have an idea, and write them in little or big notebooks. So here, on Sofie Sunday, I will be writing a book about a little mouse. I hope you will like my stories! Here is my story:
The Adventures of Margie Mouse
June 7, 2018
Hi. My name is Margaret Bella Squeakington. I’m just a regular mouseling living a normal life. This is me:
I was just cleaning out my room when stuff fell on top of me 🙁 !
I was putting the stuff that fell on me when I found a huge book!
It was really huge. And I decided to use it as my diary. And I’m going to call it: The Adventures of Margie Mouse! 🙂
